Obama met Gorbachev in run-up to Medvedev talks

Is Obama negotiating our surrender with Russia next? Why was this meeting kept a secret? Last week it was Iran and now it is Russia?

Why am I not shocked?

MOSCOW (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama has held talks with Mikhail Gorbachev, a spokesman for the former Soviet leader said on Monday, in the latest sign of Washington's efforts to "press the reset button" on ties with Russia.

Spokesman Konstantin Petrenko said Gorbachev met Obama and Vice President Joe Biden -- who coined the 'reset' phrase last month -- in Washington last Friday. He did not give any details of the discussion.

Bilateral ties worsened sharply last year, with the two countries at odds over NATO expansion, U.S. plans for a missile shield in Eastern Europe, and Russia's war with Georgia.

Visits by veteran politicians have been used by both sides to test the waters before Obama meets Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for the first time on April 1 in London on the eve of a G20 summit. A delegation led by former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger visited Russia last week and met Medvedev.

Photo Emerges of Young Putin Posing as Tourist with Reagan

WOW....THIS IS SOME PIC

The 20-year old photo depicts two world leaders - US President Ronald Reagan and the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev - in Moscow.

But, according to the man who took the photo, it also captures Mr Putin disguised as a tourist.

Gorbachev calls on Obama to carry out 'perestroika' in the U.S.

MOSCOW, November 7 (RIA Novosti) - Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has said that the Obama administration in the United States needs far-reaching 'perestroika' reforms to overcome the financial crisis and restore balance in the world.

The term perestroika, meaning restructuring, was used by Gorbachev in the late 1980s to describe a series of reforms that abolished state planning in the Soviet Union.

In an interview with Italy's La Stampa published on Friday, Gorbachev said President-elect Barack Obama needs to fundamentally change the misguided course followed by President George W. Bush over the past eight years.

Gorbachev said that after transforming his country in the late 1980s, he had told the Americans that it was their turn to act, but that Washington, celebrating its Cold War victory, was not interested in "a new model of a society, where politics, economics and morals went hand in hand."

He said the Republicans have failed to realize that the Soviet Union no longer exists (THIS IS A LIE), that Europe has changed, and that new powers like China, Brazil and Mexico have emerged as important players on the world stage.

He told the paper that the world is waiting for Obama to act, and that the White House needs to restore trust in cooperation with the United States among the Russians.

"This is a man of our times, he is capable of restarting dialogue, all the more since the circumstances will allow him to get out of a dead-end situation. Barack Obama has not had a very long career, but it is hard to find faults, and he has led an election campaign winning over the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton herself. We can judge from this that this person is capable of engaging in dialogue and understanding current realities."

Former Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, founder of now defunct Yukos oil giant, who is in prison on fraud and tax evasion charges, also used the word perestroika in discussing the future course of the Obama administration.

In an article published in the business daily Vedomosti on Friday, Khodorkovsky said Obama's election win was not merely another change of power in a separate country, but was important for all states.

He said that, "being a liberal himself, he thinks that the world will take a left turn," and that "a global perestroika would be a logical response to the global crisis."

"The paradigm of global development is about to change. The era inaugurated by Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher 30 years ago is over."

He said decisions in neoliberal economies had been made mainly by supranational institutions and transnational corporations.

Khodorkovsky predicted: "Globalization will slow to a crawl, but will not stop. The 'golden billion' of the world's richest people will have to abandon hopes of increasing their wealth, but high consumer standards which developed at the end of the 20th century will be unaffected by the change. The striving for political freedom and open competition of personalities and ideas will not disappear."

The Errors of Russia

Very interesting video and it backs up what I have been saying all along. The NWO that Bush Sr. spoke about is NOT something that the Russians will agree to. For years I heard that Bush, Putin and so on were all in on this together and nothing could be further from the truth.

The NWO that Bush Sr was talking about is an anti-Soviet global alliance to combat Russia and China's plan to destroy the USA. NATO is being used as a tool to do this (surround Russia) and idiots like Ron Paul and anyone else that is against NATO are either traitors or a danger to this country.

The fall of the Soviet Union was staged so the USA would drop it's guard, while Russia increased spying and their game of infiltration by using useful idiot liberals like Obama, Pelosi, the Clintons, George Soros, the stooges in the media and the communist college professors as their socialist agents to weaken us FROM WITHIN.

Did We Really Win the Cold War?

The end of this article is shocking, because it shows that these commies are just walking all over us and useful idiots like Pelosi are just handing the Country over to them.

In 1989, Gorbachev told the Politburo: “Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years. These are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant change within the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our aim is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep.”

Canadian environmental guru Maurice Strong and Gorbachev are co-architects of the Earth Charter, which both arrogantly boast is a replacement for the Ten Commandments of Moses.

As the song says, House Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi has come a long way, Baby. Her long climb to the top came courtesy of two anti-Americans global Pooh-bahs.

`San Francisco's Nanny” was a useful tool for UN heavy Maurice Strong and one of Mikhail Gorbachev's most useful idiots.

Gorbachev Alarmed by the USA's Aggressiveness

The American lefist, useful idiots make this all possible and Gorby is playing up to THEM. This is the final stages of the Russian plan to destroy the USA, this has nothing to do with Bilderbergs, Bush or the Easter bunny this has to do with world domination.

Are commies like Pelosi, Reid Gore and Obama assisting them when they vote against drilling and undermining the troops and the war? I think they are, but the Russians will take care of them, when the time is right.

MOSCOW, July 8 (RIA Novosti) - Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev voiced alarm over the United States' increasing tendency to seek military solutions to political problems, in an appeal to presidential candidates published on Tuesday.

"I am deeply concerned over increasingly visible signs of the militarization of politics and thinking in the modern world... even though the military route again and again leads to a dead-end," Gorbachev wrote in an article printed in the Russian government daily Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
