Hispanics for John McCain

Coming from Arizona and having represented Latinos for more than 20 years in Congress, John McCain has learned much about the strengths of Latino culture. He knows that Latino values are American values. He learned this, first hand, from Frank Gamboa, his Latino roommate at the U.S. Naval Academy. In Vietnam, he also learned about Latino valor in combat from his friend and fellow POW Everett Alvarez.

John McCain has long known that the Hispanic business community makes America strong and keeps our economy growing.

John McCain's message of "Our Country First" speaks to the important role that Latino Americans play in our country and that the role of government should be to unleash the creativity, ingenuity and hard work of all Americans to make it easier to create more and better jobs, maintain our national security, meet our energy needs, and ensure that healthcare and a quality education are affordable and available for all.

America is a nation of immigrants and the land of opportunity. Latino Americans are proud of both their Latin heritage and of being patriotic Americans. They have not only helped build America, they have fought, bled and died to defend her. They are an important and integral part of this country. For these reasons, John McCain believes that Latinos are part of the new, greatest American generation.
